HELLO?? Mc Fly?!
So you’re standing there talking to someone, and suddenly you just stare into their eyes thinking ‘HONESTLY, is your brain turned on??’ and before you even have a chance to finish that thought, you suddenly change your mind and think ‘IS there a brain there to begin with?!?!’I'm sure everyone’s had a similar thought at some point or another in their life when talking to someone. (If not, then there’s a fear that perhaps you’ve been on the receiving end of that thought!!)
I just need to know something.. can people seriously be that ‘mentally-challenged’? or do they do this on purpose because it’s just so much easier to relax and not really use their brain cells?

Perception meets Relativity
Two concepts that have kept me amused lately are “relativity” and “perception”.
When I was in grade school, I thought high school kids were SO BIG! I wondered what it would be like to be that age and that knowledgeable. I couldn’t wait to get to be ‘that old’. When I was in college, high school kids suddenly seemed so young and immature.
On a boring day, one hour can feel like eternity. While, on a busy/fun day, one hour flies by faster than a nanosecond! Everything in life is relative to what you compare it against/to.
Similar to relativity is perception. I’ve always heard that perception is reality. What you show people of you is how they view you. Therefore, your vibes are what people perceive as reality. However, we all know that what you THINK you see isn’t always the truth: that girl is snobby, that guy is smart, those two are having an affair, etc. These judgment calls we make are nothing other than how our brain interprets the data (however little that data may be) available to us.
Not everyone really sees the full picture. Not everyone knows why that person behaves in the manner in which they do. Not everyone knows what they go through on a daily basis. Who are we to pass judgment? Yet, in one way or another, we all do!

Brain Mode = OFF!
The past few weeks have been extremely hectic. After being busy with a happy event (a loved one’s wedding), I got slammed hard with an extremely disturbing event (loved one being admitted to the hospital.) As soon as that tidal wave started to ebb, work duties started to pick up and I ended up leaving on back to back trips (sitting in traffic for TWO hours just to get from Jumaira to Deira is NOT acceptable!!)Now that life should be going back to normal, I feel my brain has gone into overload and has gone into emergency shut down status! Not sure that I want to turn it back on again. But just in case I do, any idea how I can go about doing that?!
